Craniosacral therapy and nervous system healing
Welcome! I’m Evelyn Wright. I offer biodynamic craniosacral therapy and support for befriending and healing your nervous system in Northampton, MA. This winter I’m offering workshops on healing your autonomic nervous system and tapping our creativity and voicing our truths through somatic meditation and writing.
I named my practice Thrive because that is my hope and intention for myself and everyone I work with. We've all experienced the difference between when we are our most aligned, clear, best selves and when we are just going along to get along. I’m dedicated to supporting us all to be our most empowered, engaged selves as often as we can, and shifting our nervous system baselines so that being in this window of presence becomes our new normal.
Biodynamic craniosacral therapy
Biodynamic craniosacral therapy (BCST) is a gentle, hands-on healing modality that settles the client's nervous system and supports your body's inherent healing wisdom to surface and express itself. It helps to release stuck patterns and reduce tension, pain, and inflammation.
Clients often find the treatments deeply relaxing. Treatments are conducted fully clothed, and all touch is negotiated with the client.
I offer craniosacral sessions at my office in downtown Northampton, MA.

Our bodies have a wise core that regulates our energy, arousal, and attention, along with our hearts, our guts, and our breathing -- all without our having to pay attention to it. Our autonomic nervous system manages our heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and more. It monitors our environment for safety and mobilizes us to respond to perceived threats.
It also influences:
Our ability to focus and what our attention is drawn to,
Feelings of safety or threat and our ability to relax or remain on high alert,
Our ability to engage easily and naturally with the people around us, and
Feelings of curiosity, openness, presence, and ability to respond thoughtfully in the present moment.
Learning to understand and gently influence our autonomic nervous systems is one of the most powerful ways we can take care of ourselves and be more present and compassionate with the people in our lives. Befriending your nervous system can be powerful support for healing anxiety, depression, digestive issues, high blood pressure, tension headaches, or stress-related ailments of any kind.
This winter I'm offering workshops on getting to know your nervous system and using gentle movement and writing from the heart in community to help heal nervous systems.
