Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic craniosacral therapy (BCST) is a gentle, hands-on healing modality that settles the client's nervous system and supports your body's inherent healing wisdom to surface and express itself. It helps to release stuck patterns and reduce tension, pain, and inflammation.

Clients often find the treatments deeply relaxing. Treatments are conducted fully clothed, and all touch is negotiated with the client.

All of our bodies are intelligent, creative, and resilient. From our development in the womb and growth in childhood to our recovery from illness, injury, and overwork, our bodies know just what to do. We call this inherent, embodied intelligence our blueprint. It is always within us — and within all living things — and cannot be taken away or broken.

But life sometimes gets in the way. We experience the shock of injury, and we stiffen our bodies to protect our hurt parts. We accommodate ourselves to the stresses of work, family, culture, and social injustice, creating constriction, inflammation, and held places in the body. We call these imprints. They can obscure the blueprint, but it never leaves us.

BCST supports our systems to deeply settle and rest so that our inherent healing wisdom can express itself more fully. Our blueprints can surface and dialogue with our imprints, allowing both acute and longstanding held places to soften and change. Sometimes this occurs gradually and sometimes quite quickly. My job as a BCST therapist is to hold a supportive, respectful space for you in which this can happen.

BCST can be an excellent complement to Western medicine, physical therapy, acupuncture, and other approaches, and can support healing from surgery and injury.

You can read more about BCST from our professional organization here or about my own journey with BCST here. Book now or contact me to schedule a call to explore whether BCST might be helpful for you.

  • I sought treatment with Evelyn for service-connected neuropathy where the only option seemed like more drugs. But BCST gave me enough relief to go without them for longer. And the quiet space and emphasis on mind-body connection helped me do a surprising amount of PTSD processing that helped compound my VA talk therapy. Would recommend for those struggling with either condition.

  • I feel truly honored to have found Evelyn…. I came to her experiencing severe debilitating back pain. I was also feeling an overwhelming amount of fear, anxiety and uncertainty regarding upcoming surgery. Evelyn’s touch is warm and gentle. I felt completely safe and at ease from the moment I met her. And I left feeling a sense of calm and more at peace with myself.... Anyone seeking Craniosacral therapy would be lucky to share time and space with Evelyn. She is truly gifted.
